Cloud Computing is a technology that provides services to users such as software as a service, platform as a service and storage as a service. These services are provided based on Pay-per-Use basis so these services are cost effective and flexible. Due to this advantage of cloud computing, the individuals as well as the enterprises are getting motivated to shift their local sensitive and huge data management system to cloud storage. But the sensitive data has to be encrypted before outsourcing in order to provide security to the data. After the data has outsourced it has to be utilized efficiently without losing the originality as it was stored. In this paper we provide a mechanism called ”Multi-keyword Ranked Search over Encrypted cloud data” that gives better and efficient searched result over the encrypted data taking multiple keywords as query, which obsoletes the tradition searching scheme based on plain text search. And we use a “Coordinate Matching” technique to find as many matches as possible and use “inner product similarity” to retrieve relevance search results. So if user wants to retrieve the data stored on cloud, he can specify the multiple keywords and rank for relevance retrieval of results. Finally results the user with top ranked files. Get PDF
Perineal endometriosis is a rare entity which can be explained by direct implantation of endometriotic cells over the fresh episiotomy wound and subsequent development of scar endometriosis. Perineal scar endometriosis incidence is reported to be 0.3% to 1%. 28 years old, P1L1, presented with pain and swelling near episiotomy site which is associated with menstruation. Examination during menstruation revealed swelling was tender, erythematous and slightly increased in size. Clinical diagnosis of scar endometriosis was made after clinical examination. Mass excised and sent for histopathological examination. Although diagnosis essentially remains clinical, preoperative evaluation with perineal ultrasound and MRI was performed. Wide local excision remains treatment of choice and follow up for recurrence is recommended. Histopathological examination is obligatory to exclude rare possibility of malignant changes

In recent era, the use of internet is been increasing day by day. Internet has become more of a primary need than a secondary need. In recent time, Wi-Fi came into existence and life of the people by using internet got easier. But as said, every coin has two sides; Wi-Fi comes with many disadvantages like as the number of users increases for using the Wi-Fi system, the speed of the device decreases. Another disadvantage which being noticed from last few years are the ill-effects Wi-Fi causes to human health. And as every limitation has a way to new innovations. These limitation of Wi-Fi technology is being overcome by a new technology called Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) invented by Professor Harald Haas who proposes these concept as Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking technology that uses light –emitting diodes(LED’s) for data transmission. It uses same concepts that are used in infrared. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15061

Antimicrobial potential of different plant parts (needle, stem and bark) of Himalayan yew (Taxus wallichiana Zucc.) has been investigated with particular reference to selection of solvents and extraction methods. Two extraction methods (maceration and soxhlet), seven solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone, chloroform, ethyl  acetate, di chloro methane and Petroleum ether), and 3 groups of microorganisms (bacteria, actinobacteria and fungi) were considered for detection of antimicrobial activity. While qualitative estimations were done using agar well diffusion method, quantitative analysis was based on dilution method. All the plant part showed significant activity against all 3 groups of microorganisms in qualitative bioassays; maximum being in case of needles. Among solvents, ethanolic extract of needles (maceration) showed highest antibacterial activity (15.33 ± 0.25 mm). Growth of actinobacteria was inhibited maximum (22.0±0.26 mm) by the methanolic extracts of needles (maceration). Ethyl acetate extract of needles (soxhlet) showed higher antifungal activity (7.84±0.21 mm). Antibacterial and antifungal activities were higher in maceration and soxhlet methods, respectively. The most affected group among the test microorganisms was bacteria which may be due to their prokaryotic organization. This was also supported by the low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values. Di chloro methane and petroleum ether did not show any antifungal activity. The antimicrobial activity of various plant parts of T. wallichiana varied with respect to the solvent as well as the extraction method. The study will have implications in selection of the use of solvent and the extraction procedure in obtaining the antimicrobial metabolites from various plant parts of T. wallichiana

Utilizing Big Data Analytics to Improve Education

    Get PDF
Analytics can be defined as the process of determining, assessing, and interpreting meaning from volumes of data. It has been categorized in three different categories - descriptive, predictive and prescriptive. Predictive analysis can serve many segments of society as it can reveal hidden relationship which may not be apparent with descriptive modeling. Analytics advancement plays an important role in higher education planning. It answers several questions such as -which students will enroll in particular course, what courses are on trending or obsolete, what is the level of student satisfaction in the current education system, effectiveness of online study environment, how to design a better curriculum, likelihood of students transfer, drop out or failure to complete the course. Not only, data analytics helps in analyzing above points but also can be helpful in predictive modeling for faculty, administrative and students groups who are looking out for genuine results about the university rankings, based on which they make their decisions. Using the dataset “Academic Ranking of World Universities, 2003-2014”, we studied and analyzed to forecast how university’s management and faculty could adapt to changes to improve their education and thereby the ranking of their universities in the upcoming years. Microsoft SQL Server Data Mining Add-ins Excel 2008 was employed as a software mining tool for predicting the trending university ranking. This research paper concentrates upon predictive analysis of university ranking using forecasting based on data mining technique

Addressing water stress through wastewater reuse: Complexities and challenges in Bangalore, India

    Get PDF
Wastewater reuse is an important adaptation option for mitigating water stress in rapidly growing urban centres. But, wastewater reuse is easier said than done, particularly in developing countries. The task becomes even more challenging when one takes a basin-level perspective. We illustrate these challenges by studying the Vrishabhavathy River in Bangalore, India, which carries almost half of the city’s wastewater. First, we find that the sewage treatment plant (STP) located on this river does not function efficiently and no positive impact of effluent discharge on river water quality was observed. Second, while the Sewerage Board has implem ented conventional centralized sewage treatment and proposed its expansion and even larger scale projects, decentralized wastewater treatment, advocated by many civil society groups, may be more cost effective. Options at all scales, however, face several institutional challenges in implementation. Third, while untreated wastewater is a health hazard for downstream farmers using this water for irrigation, substantial wastewater recycling upstream would have a negative impact on their livelihoods by reducing the quantity of water available for irrigation. In addition, as the Vrishabhavathy is a tributary of the inter-state river Cauvery, reduced flows might impact on inter-state water sharing commitments complicating matters further. Realizing the potential of wastewater reuse in Bangalore will thus require techno-institutional integration and thinking at a basin scal
